THE URBANIST

The Urbanist is a experienced graffiti artist who specialises in air brushing on shoes, clothes, windows, walls, motorbikes, cars and canvasses.

The Urbanist has been interested in the urban/hip hop graffiti culture since 1985. The name Urbanist is an abbreviation of urban artist. He learnt how to spray paint using aerosols in 1989 and at this time mainly focused on murals. Through a series of trips to New York City in the late 90's watching graffiti artists perform in Times Square and Brooklyn, he was inspired to progress to his current art form, using airbrush equipment. With this medium he is able to achieve small intricate designs from a New York skyline to more bespoke personalised illustrations.

The Urbanist has been associated with the Timberland for over five years, with him regularly touring their flag ship stores to display and sell his art in the UK, Ireland and also Europe. In the past the Urbanist has worked at urban events, corporate events, night clubs, children's parties, shop windows and much more.
