THE TUTORS
Our beat box tutors have many years of experience running their workshops with people of all ages, particularly youths and are skilled when it comes to teaching this complicated urban art form in an easy to understand format. Our professional tutors can work with individuals and large groups, teaching the basic skills of beat boxing.
THE WORKSHOP
The beat box workshops begin with the tutor demonstrating what sounds can be produced with your voice with the right technique and timing. Once the tutor has amazed the participants by showing exactly what is possible, the pupils will be taught how to create each individual drum sound that will need to be performed.
Once the basics have been taught the participants will learn how to sequence the individual drum sounds ro create and full drum beat. Following the drum beat, our professional beat box tutors will explain how to perform bass lines using your lower vocal range. Now the bass lines are perfected the tutor will go on to teach the art of incorporating the drum beat and bass line together.
Beat boxing can be performed as a solo act or as a group, so to round the workshop off participants can perform their new skill as an individual or as a group performance with each member being responsible for a certain sound. Rap s can also be performed over the beat boxing to create a true hip hop performance.
